Local animal clinic is hiring an experienced Office Assistant with veterinary experience to work at their busy front desk.The ideal candidate will have prior experience working with animals in a work environment. This is a full time, Furst-to-Hire position. Must be able to work every other Saturday morning from 7am to 1pm, and then have Wednesdays off. Hours: Mon-Fri, 8am to 5pm, with some flexibility at start/end of shift if needed (may work until 7pm or 8pm some nights). Will share covering every other Saturday from 7am to 1pm, with Wednesday off.Pay: $16.00/hour Responsibilities:
Answer phones
Check in guests and pets
Use QuickBooks to track financial notes
Handle paper charting (training provided)
File charts
Prepare paperwork for next day’s appointments
Requirements:
Previous experience with animals in a working environment is required
Experience handling exotic animals is a plus
Some veterinary medical knowledge is helpful
