Job Description
TechLab Case Manager How would you like to work for a national community service organization? We are hiring a TechLab Case Manager to work directly with program participants in our community. The TechLab Case Manager provides assistance to people in developing their career paths and completing a successful job search. This is a Furst-to-Hire position. This is an opportunity to make a real difference in our community! Hours: 8am to 4:40pm, M-FPay: $17.50/hour; increase to $18/hour when hired in TechLab Case Manager Responsibilities:
- Perform comprehensive intake of participants, including educational assessment
- Develop individual education and employment plans
- Complete comprehensive intakes of participants to identify; career readiness, existing skills and gaps, and barriers for program completion and solutions to barriers
- Evaluate participants educational level, abilities, and interests using tests, records, interviews, and professional sources
- Develop individual education and employment plans
- Provide crisis intervention to participants when difficult situations occur
- Maintain accurate and complete participant records
- Conduct follow-up interviews with participants to determine if their needs have been met
- Instruct individuals in career development techniques, such as job search and application strategies, resume writing, and interview skills
- Prepare reports on participants and activities as required by administration
- Associates degree or Bachelor’s degree and at least two years related experience
- Bilingual English/Spanish preferred
- Ability to plan, organize and prioritize
- Strong verbal and written skills
- Intermediate to advanced computer skills
- Ability to lift up to 30 pounds
- Current Illinois driver's license and valid vehicle insurance
