Teacher’s Aide FurstStaffing is seeking a Teacher’s Aide for a local charter school. The Teacher’s Aide will support classroom teachers by assisting with instruction and clerical tasks. Other Teacher’s Aide responsibilities may include working with students who need additional instruction, preparing materials and equipment for activities, and discussing students' progress with their teacher. Must have 60 college credit hours completed or have passed the PARA test. Hours: Typical classroom hoursPay: $18-$19/hour depending on experience. Teacher’s Aide Responsibilities:
Provide support to the teacher to ensure a safe and stimulating educational environment
Assist the teacher in planning and preparation of daily activities; assists with the instructional efforts of the teacher
Assist the teacher in preparing lesson outlines, plans, and curricula in assigned areas
Plan, prepare, and develop various teaching aids for use in classroom, including activity sheets, drawings, and handouts
Present subject matter to students under the guidance of the teacher, utilizing a variety of methods including stories, discussions, and role playing
Lead classroom activities; may confer with parents on children’s progress in the absence of the teacher
Assist students individually or in groups to reinforce learning concepts
Tutor reading or math classes
Assist with lunch and recess
Attend field trips
Teacher’s Aide Requirements:
Possess 60 college credit hours or have passed the PARA test
Previous experience working with children required
Ability to provide a supportive and caring environment for children
