The Stockroom Supervisor is responsible for overseeing all stockroom operations, ensuring accurate inventory control, proper organization, and efficient material handling. This leader will supervise three Stockroom Attendants across all shifts, ensuring consistent processes and smooth coordination 24/7. The ideal candidate is highly organized, reliable, and experienced in inventory management within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Oversight
Supervise and support three Stockroom Attendants working across 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shifts.
Train, coach, and develop team members to ensure consistent and accurate stockroom practices.
Provide clear communication between shifts to maintain continuity and address issues promptly.
Inventory & Stockroom Management
Ensure the stockroom is clean, organized, and operating efficiently at all times.
Maintain minimum on-hand quantities for all parts, materials, and supplies.
Monitor and maintain inventory accuracy through regular cycle counts, reconciliations, and audits.
Oversee all materials moving in and out of the stockroom, ensuring proper labeling, documentation, and tracking.
Identify discrepancies, investigate root causes, and implement corrective actions.
Material Handling
Receive incoming stock, verify accuracy of shipments, and process relevant documentation.
Put away stock in designated locations using proper storage practices.
Retrieve and issue materials to internal departments based on production needs.
Process returns and send back materials when required.
Process Improvement
Recommend and implement improvements to stockroom layout, workflow, and inventory procedures.
Support continuous improvement initiatives throughout the facility.
Qualifications
Previous experience in inventory management, stockroom operations, warehouse supervision, or similar roles in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
Strong leadership and communication skills, with experience overseeing employees across varying shifts a plus.
Proficiency in inventory systems and basic computer skills (ERP experience beneficial).
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to lift and move materials as required and work in a foundry environment.
