Local manufacturing company in Freeport is hiring a Shipping Clerk to work on their 1st shift. The Shipping Clerk is responsible for pulling orders accurately in preparation for shipment. Lots of attention to detail is needed for this job. Hours: 1st shift, 7am-3:30pm or 8am-4:30pmPay: $15-16.00/hour, depending on experience Shipping Clerk Responsibilities:
Enter invoicing information for all shipments
Handle bills of lading, waybills and pick slips for each shipment
Check and record all items loaded for shipment
Verify and enter receipts of incoming shipments
Handle return shipments to manufacturer for repairs
Maintain and file all paperwork and records of each shipment
Shipping Clerk Requirements:
High school diploma or GED, and/or equivalent combination of education, experience, and training
Previous clerical experience needed
General computer knowledge
General knowledge of warehouse procedures
Accurate and efficient data entry skills
Good written and verbal communication skills
Strong organizational skills
Ability to work accurately and accomplish tasks in a timely manner
