We are currently seeking a dependable and experienced Quality Manager to lead and support our quality systems and initiatives at our Rockford, IL facility.

Position Summary:
The Quality Manager will be responsible for overseeing the quality management system, ensuring products meet established standards, and promoting continuous improvement across departments. This role requires strong technical skills, a thorough understanding of ISO 9001:2015 standards, and experience within the fastener manufacturing industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and maintain the Quality Management System (QMS) to ISO 9001:2015 standards
- Collaborate with department managers to support customer requirements and production quality
- Communicate technical product/print direction to customers and internal teams
- Address and resolve known issues with customers prior to or during production
- Draft accurate and timely internal and external reports and communications
- Perform inspections of in-process and finished goods to ensure conformance to work instructions
- Use and apply appropriate gauging instruments for inspections
- Conduct first piece inspections as needed
- Record and input statistical data accurately
- Assist in writing and updating inspection procedures and quality checklists
- Analyze quality data and write clear summaries to validate results or note deviations
- Escalate quality concerns appropriately and in a timely manner
- Ensure all documentation is completed accurately and maintained properly
- Adhere to and promote 5S standards and a clean, safe work environment
- Enforce compliance with all Safety, Environmental, and Quality policies
- Conduct internal audits of manufacturing processes for compliance with standards
- Lead root cause analysis and implement effective corrective actions
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives and foster a culture of quality
- Facilitate customer audits and ensure professional, factual customer correspondence
Required Experience & Skills:
- Minimum 5 years of technical quality experience in a manufacturing setting
- Industry experience with fasteners is required
- Strong understanding of ISO 9001:2015 standards
- Experience managing or participating in internal and external audits
- Skilled in root cause analysis and corrective/preventive action processes
- Excellent communication and reporting skills
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Project)
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
