Job Description

Production Technician - Assembler
 
The Production Technician-Assembler supports manufacturing operations by assembling components and finished products, performing routine testing, and ensuring accurate documentation. This role plays a key part in maintaining production flow, quality, and on‑time delivery.
 
Hours: 8am to 5pm, M-F; schedule may change after training
Pay: $20/hour
 
Production Technician-Assembler Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and configure stock units for shipment, including labeling
  • Assemble components and products across multiple product lines
  • Program and calibrate microprocessors and computer‑based controls
  • Conduct routine testing of components and subassemblies
  • Package finished units and prepare them for shipment
  • Receive and inspect incoming components from suppliers
  • Support weekly and annual cycle counts
  • Complete production orders and documentation in the ERP system
  • Pull components for production builds
  • Follow and improve build protocols to ensure reliability and repeatability
  • Meet production deadlines and support on‑time shipments
  • Maintain a safe, organized work area
  • Identify opportunities to reduce manufacturing costs through component or process improvements
  • Comply with all ethical, legal, and regulatory requirements
 
Occasional Duties
  • Use mechanical and electrical test equipment
  • Identify improvements to product mechanical or electrical features
  • Support field product repairs as needed
  • Participate in Lean Manufacturing and other process‑improvement initiatives
 
Production Technician-Assembler Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Proficient with basic hand and power tools
  • Ability to learn quickly with strong attention to detail
  • Demonstrated problem‑solving and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic environment
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
 
Preferred Qualifications
  • Two years of experience in electro‑mechanical manufacturing
  • Associate degree in a technical discipline
  • Ability to interpret drawings, specifications, and procedures
  • Knowledge of mechanical/electrical debugging techniques
  • Experience with engineering methods such as Six Sigma, Lean, SPC, modeling, tolerance analysis, or data analysis
  • Ability to drive for extended periods; travel up to 10%
  • Availability for overtime, evenings, or weekends as needed
