FurstStaffing has Production opportunities at a highly regarded food manufacturing plant in Lena, IL.
The Production Worker is essential to the food manufacturing process.
Production Worker Hourly Pay Rate:
- $21.00 for 2nd shift, $22.00 for 3rd shift
Production Worker Schedule:
- The hours/days are a flexible schedule. You get a schedule every week for the next week.
- Due to the nature of the food production process, shifts do not have an end time.
- You must work until the production process is complete for that day.
- 1st shift starts at 6 am; 2nd shift starts between 2:30 pm and 3:30; 3rd shift starts between 9:00 pm and 10:00 pm
You are given a 20 minute paid break and a 30 minute unpaid lunch. If you work a 12 hour shift, you are then given a second 20 minute paid break.
Production Worker Responsibilities Include:
- Assisting with cheese making
- Putting in and taking cheese out of brine tank
- Cutting molds
- Clean up,
- Putting trays of cheese on conveyor belt and taking it off
- Some manual flipping of cheese molds
- Operating tunnel washer, putting molds and trays in washer to be sanitized and taking them out
- Helping with cleanup, which requires use of chemicals and water hose
Production Worker Requirements Include:
- Ability to stand throughout the shift
- Bending, lifting, reaching above the head, stooping and twisting.
- Ability to lift a up to 70 pounds
- Pushing and pulling 300-400 pound racks of cheese
- Ability to reach, bend, twist, and walk up and down stairs
