Packer – 1st Shift
Our client has an immediate need for a Packer on their 1st shift. The Packer position involves loading the packaging machine, labeling, bagging, weighing, boxing, palletizing, cutting and some basic sanitation. This position requires strict adherence to GMPs, sanitation guidelines, safety, timekeeping and personal conduct rules. This is a direct hire position.
Hours: 6am to 4pm, M-F
Pay: $18.92/hour

Packer Responsibilities:
- Feed product following proper process, placing cheese in pocket and weighing
- Build boxes, code, inspect, pack, tape and label
- Report unsafe conditions to plant management
- Accurate recordkeeping
Packer Requirements:
- Strong listening skills; ask questions to understand instruction for work-related activities
- Take initiative to complete tasks along with a continuous improvement mindset
- Work as a team with positive attitude and behaviors
- Verbal and written communication skills, including ability to read, understand and follow written procedures (SOPs)
- Flexibility in job roles, assisting team along with covering breaks when needed to meet business needs
- Adherence to GMPs/keep area clean
- Meet physical demands of role
- Demonstrate honesty and a high level of integrity
- Personal hygiene per GMPs
- Demonstrate dependable attendance to meet business demands
- Ability to compete moderately strenuous work involving standing, walking with frequent bending, twisting, pushing and squatting; repetitive lifting of up to 50 lbs
Packer Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Food manufacturing experience preferred but not required
