Job Description

Process Engineer needed to assist in reviewing customer prints and specs and process prints.   Also, to create or assist in creating, processing travelers.  

Process Engineer Essential Job Functions:
•    Review Customers prints/specs
•    Review process prints and tolerancing
•    Create travelers/ routings in ERP system based on quote (JobBoss)
•    Assesses jobs and prints using knowledge of product design, materials and parts, fabrication processes, and quality control standards –includes machining, metallurgy and heat treat knowledge
•    Works closely with and assists quoting and estimating department as workload dictates
•    Estimates production times, staffing requirements and other consideration to facilitate production processes
•    Satisfy customer needs by phone and in-house visits and communicating job status as needed
•    Work with Director of Manufacturing to ensure proper scheduling

Process Engineer Non-Essential Job Functions:
•    Visiting customer locations
•    Attending trade shows or other industry-related events
•    Train others as needed

Process Engineer Requirements:
•    Three or more years precision machining experience preferred
•    Strong knowledge of heat treat
•    Strong knowledge of metallurgy
•    Strong oral and written communications skills
•    Teamwork ability and experience
•    Excellent comprehension of mathematics (including geometry)
•    Ability to read and analyze blueprints
•    Solid modeling and blueprint reading drawing ability
•    Machining background highly desirable
•    Metals knowledge
•    Gear experience a huge plus but not required
•    ISO/ASO a plus
