Patient Service Representative – Medical Office
We are hiring two Patient Service Representatives to work in a busy community health clinic. This is a busy office with a focus on patient quality care. If you are bilingual (Spanish and English), that is a plus! The PSR's are responsible for directing clients and service personnel to the appropriate area pr department of the clinic, and ensuring proper clinic staff or departments are notified.
Hours: 8:30am to 5pm Mon-Fri, with rotating evenings from 11:30am to 8pm, and every other Saturday from 8am to 12pm
Pay: $15.00+ .50 for bilingual ability. Pay also goes up based on previous experience and longevity at previous employers.
The Patient Service Representative will also be responsible for the following job functions:
- Comply with established policies and procedures, objectives, HIPPA, safety and environmental standards.
- Educate clients on all clinic programs and protocol.
- Coordinate with medical team to ensure consistent patient flow.
- Accommodate all scheduling needs using clinic standards and guidelines.
- Ensure accuracy of all patient information, as well as protecting the patient’s rights by maintaining confidentially of personal and financial information.
- Manage and reconcile cash drawer.
- Collect data for routine and publication.
- Maintains office supply inventory.
- Other duties as assigned.
Patient Service Representative Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate degree preferred
- Professional and courteous demeanor
- Familiarity with medical terminology a plus
- Must be able to communicate accurately and make quick judgement decisions for clinic services
- Strong customer service skills
- Ability to demonstrate ethical conduct
- Punctual and dependable
