Pay Range: $18–$21/hour DOE.

Hours: Monday - Friday 8am to 5pm.

Overview
A well-established manufacturer is seeking an Operations Specialist to support its growing operations team.
The company has recently expanded into multiple facilities and is looking for a candidate who is passionate about manufacturing and eager to grow into a dynamic, multi-functional role. This position is ideal for someone with general manufacturing experience or someone excited to learn and contribute in a fast-paced environment.
Position Summary
The Operations Specialist will report directly to the Production Manager and serve as a key interface with the operations team. The role will focus initially on shipping and will grow into purchasing and inventory control.
Responsibilities include:
- Overseeing purchasing of materials such as plastics, packaging products, maintenance parts, and shop supplies.
- Identifying dual-sourcing opportunities and liaising with vendors.
- Managing shipping operations across multiple facilities.
- Supporting the transition to a corporate Transportation Management System (TMS).
- Driving cost reductions in purchasing and shipping.
- Assisting with customer returns, scrap shipments, and inventory cycle counting.
- Performing other duties as assigned.
- Ability to work overtime as needed.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree preferred.
- Prior experience in purchasing or shipping is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to compare invoices to contractual pricing.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook and Excel.
- Experience with ERP systems is a plus.
- Demonstrates a sense of urgency and an entrepreneurial mindset.
