Position Overview:
As the OD/ID Grinder, you will operate and maintain manual ID/OD grinding machines and oversee all grinding operations within the department. You will coordinate workflow with other departments to ensure projects are delivered on time, perform close-tolerance grinding work, select grinding wheels, calculate offsets, and optimize machine setups. The role also requires inspecting finished components using standard manual measurement tools and applying shop math concepts to ensure accuracy and quality.
Schedule: Monday-Friday 6:30am-3pm
Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour (DOE)

Qualifications:
- Proven experience with ID/OD grinding techniques and precision machining processes
- In-depth knowledge of grinding wheel selection, offsets, and close-tolerance work
- Experience measuring finished components using standard manual inspection tools
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to oversee departmental operations
- Knowledge of quality assurance practices, including in-process control, machine capability studies, and final inspection reporting
- Proficiency with manufacturing tools, machinery, and gauges
- Understanding of Kanban systems, JIT production, and ISO 9001/2008 standards
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and organizational abilities
- Strong safety awareness and ability to manage compliance with safety protocols
- Technical diploma, associate degree, or equivalent experience preferred
