Medical Assistant – Urology Team Busy clinic in Rockford is hiring a Medical Assistant to work with their Urology team.  Ideal candidate will have one year’s experience as a Medical Assistant. This is a Furst-to-Hire opportunity, offering excellent benefits once hired into the company.  Great hours and a great team to work with.  We are looking for a Medical Assistant who will take initiative and who excels in a fast-paced environment. Hours: 8am to 4:30pm, Mon-FriPay: $18.00/hour DOE Medical Assistant Responsibilities:
  • Room patients, verify and record patient information, and update patient’s medical history
  • Take phone calls
  • Submit lab or imaging orders
  • Prepare for the next day schedule
  • Assist with biopsies and cystoscopies
  • Perform venipunctures/draw blood
  • Assist physician during exams and surgical office procedures
  • Collect and prepare lab specimens
  • Prepare treatment rooms for exams
  • Stock supplies, keep rooms clean
 Medical Assistant Requirements:
  • Energetic personality, quick learner, and self-starter
  • Able to work independently
  • Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant Program
  • Knowledge of medical terminology
  • Possess critical thinking skills
  • Excellent communication skills
