Medical Assistant – Urology Team Busy clinic in Rockford is hiring a Medical Assistant to work with their Urology team. Ideal candidate will have one year’s experience as a Medical Assistant. This is a Furst-to-Hire opportunity, offering excellent benefits once hired into the company. Great hours and a great team to work with. We are looking for a Medical Assistant who will take initiative and who excels in a fast-paced environment. Hours: 8am to 4:30pm, Mon-FriPay: $18.00/hour DOE Medical Assistant Responsibilities:
Room patients, verify and record patient information, and update patient’s medical history
Take phone calls
Submit lab or imaging orders
Prepare for the next day schedule
Assist with biopsies and cystoscopies
Perform venipunctures/draw blood
Assist physician during exams and surgical office procedures
Collect and prepare lab specimens
Prepare treatment rooms for exams
Stock supplies, keep rooms clean
Medical Assistant Requirements:
Energetic personality, quick learner, and self-starter
Able to work independently
Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant Program
Knowledge of medical terminology
Possess critical thinking skills
Excellent communication skills
