Material Handler (Raw Materials) 2nd shift
The Raw Materials Material Handler plays a key role in ensuring that production lines are consistently supplied with the necessary components to meet operational goals. This position is responsible for accurately staging, moving, and verifying raw materials based on shop orders and production schedules. This is a Direct-Hire position working at a quality cheesemaking facility near Monticello!
Hours: 5pm to 3:30am M-Th; OT on Fridays as needed
Pay: $19/hour with a weekly discretionary bonus up to $2.00/hour

Material Handler Responsibilities
- Responsible for all incoming raw materials to the production floor during assigned shift
- Stage and prepare all required materials for upcoming shop orders and the next production shift
- Read and interpret shop orders and pull sheets to determine material requirements
- Verify material availability against the production schedule and communicate shortages
- Transport raw materials from the cooler/dry goods warehouse to designated production areas
- Ensure FIFO (First-In, First-Out) principles are followed when staging materials
- Conduct checks to ensure correct items and quantities are delivered
- Communicate with appropriate personnel to reconcile input/output materials and minimize discrepancies
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized warehouse and staging environment
- Support cycle counts or inventory audits as needed
- Operate forklifts or pallet jacks to move materials safely and efficiently
- Assist the production or shipping & receiving teams when responsibilities are complete or caught up
Required Skills/Abilities
- 1–2 years of experience in a warehouse, production, or material handling environment preferred
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Ability to remain composed in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
- Basic math and computer/data entry skills
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Must be able to read and comprehend production documents, such as shop orders and labels
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work on your feet throughout the shift
- Forklift certification a plus
