Logistics & Warehouse Lead
We have a direct hire opportunity for an experienced logistics professional at a Rockford company that is a leader in manufacturing fabrication equipment. As Logistics & Warehouse Lead, you will oversee logistics and warehouse operations, including inventory management, transportation and delivery, as well as ensure timely movement of goods and support manufacturing operations through efficient planning and coordination.
Hours: 1st shift
Pay: 39k to 52k

Logistics & Warehouse Lead Responsibilities:
- Direct and participate in daily warehouse and shipping operations
- Prioritize job pulls and unloading steel deliveries
- Monitor timely processing of incoming shipments and restocking
- Maintain shortage pulls for manufacturing needs
- Coordinate with Sales to meet customer delivery requirements
- Review and manage documentation (e.g. shipping notices, invoices, orders)
- Oversee inventory movement from receipt to distribution
- Maintain inventory accuracy via cycle counts and corrective actions
- Supervise outbound shipments for quality and accuracy
- Schedule inbound/outbound freight; assist with international shipments
- Develop and train staff on material handling and stock procedures
- Perform lead duties: interviewing, training, reviews
- Support continuous improvement and enforce safety regulations
Logistics & Warehouse Lead Requirements:
- Leadership and strong communication
- 3-5 years of logistics, supply chain, and transportation experience preferred; would consider 2 years if all other requirements are met
- Proficient in warehouse systems/software
- Organizational and problem-solving skills
- Forklift experience required
- Able to read blueprints and tape measure; basic math skills
