POSITION OVERVIEW:We are accepting resumes for a Senior Machinist / Inspector with ability to utilize inspection equipment to validate parts to blueprint.   Able to learn what is acceptable when parts are not to blue-print specifications.  Able to setup and operate CNC Vertical/horizontal milling centers and manual horizontal mill pending shop load. Responsibilities:Inspect a percentage of bulk parts based on lot size.  Perform in process inspections per job routing instructions.  Forward in process work to the next operation.  Move finished inspected product to stock room.   Inspect Punch/Die tooling and move product to shipping.  Communicate pertinent information with Co-workers/Supervisor.  Setup and run CNC vertical mill, Horizontal Mill, or manual Horizontal mill pending work- load. Inspector – Machinist.
  1. Able to read and interpret blueprints.
  2. Utilize inspection equipment to validate parts to print.  CMM, Micrometers (ID/OD), Hardness testers, indicators, gage blocks, go/nogo gages, RA tester, other inspection tools.
  3. Communicate non-conforming issues.
  4. Work and interact with a variety of personnel.  (Production Manager, Machinists, and Engineers)
  5. Keep Inspection records of tracked components.
  6. Able to follow written and verbal instructions.
  7. Able to setup and run CNC Vertical/Horizontal mills. (Fadal VMC/Cincinnati HMC)
  8. Able to setup and run manual horizontal mill (Devlieg)
  9. Able to troubleshoot part quality issues and adjust tooling offsets/cutter compensation.
  10. Aptitude to learn other machine centers.
  11. Able to read shop schedule and prioritize work to be performed.
  12. Able to move parts via four-wheel cart, 2-wheel cart, fork-lift, or pallet jack to appropriate area (machining center or stock room).
  13. Able to use basic hand tools.  (Allen wrenches, dead blow hammer, crescent wrench, torx wrenches)
  14. Able to lift up to 50 pounds from the floor to waist level for general parts
  15. Able to stand for long periods of time
  16. Able to work with limited Supervision
  17. Safety Minded/awareness.
 Qualifications:Education:
  1. Highschool diploma or equivalent.
  2. Associates degree in a related Trade (Manufacturing Technology/Metrology).
Experience:
  1. Willing to train a qualified individual, meaning individual already possesses a strong aptitude for inspection/CNC machine setup/operation.
  2. 2 years in an Industrial environment (related electrical trade) 
  3. Demonstrated work history of Inspection/CNC – Manual machine setup and operation.
Physical Demands:
  1. Lift and/move/handle 50 pounds.
  2. Use of PC (Email, inspection reports, excel, word)
  3. Read, write inspection data, and markup blueprints.
  4. Occasionally lift heavier weight.
  5. Regular use of eye/hand coordination.
  6. Frequently stand, stoop, or kneel up to 10 hours.
  7. Work off a lift or ladder.
  8. Frequently walk.
