SUMMARY
Performs scheduled maintenance and unscheduled (emergency) repairs of production equipment and facility equipment.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
· Provides emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production and performs scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine service.
· Reads and interprets equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
· Utilizes skills including but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting, and repair of production machines.
· Diagnoses problems, replace or repair parts, test and make adjustments.
· Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters, and material handling equipment in performing duties.
· Detect faulty operations, defective material and report those and any unusual situations to supervisor.
· Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.
· Perform all other duties as assigned or needed.
MACHINE, EQUIPMENT AND TOOLS USED
Basic Shop Tools, special fixturing, precision calibration equipment, air tools, Dynafile, vices, shears, hand presses. Employee may be required to purchase personal tools and measuring equipment required to perform job.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED
· Requires a high school diploma/GED.
· An AA degree or certification in mechanical, electrical, or industrial maintenance a plus.
· 3 to 5 years of manufacturing maintenance experience; strong CNC Machine Tool repair experience, AC/DC drive controls, PLC’s and Hydraulics.
· Strong troubleshooting skills.
· Must be highly motivated and able to work independently.
· Must be a team player with a positive outlook.
