Job Description

Health Information Systems Clerk Become a team member in a prominent Rockford area health organization. FurstStaffing is looking for an organized individual to fill this Furst-to-Hire role. The Health Information Systems Clerk is a support position responsible for coordinating and performing various functions within a medical clinic. Knowledge of medical terminology and being bilingual in Spanish is preferred. Hours: 8am to 4: 30pm Mon-Fri Pay: $14.37/hour or more DOE. Bilingual in Spanish = .50/hour more! Health Information Systems Clerk Job Duties:

Distribute requested records to the appropriate area/individual in a timely and accurate manner upon request
Complete all assigned computer tasks in an efficient manner
Perform the daily scanning of all patient documents into the electronic patient chart
Ensure that all documents from ECW (Electronic Medical Record) incoming fax server are completed in a timely and accurate manner daily
Protect all patient information to ensure confidentiality. This includes (but not limited to) delivering records and medical reports to assigned areas, not leaving the department unattended, not allowing unauthorized staff in the department, and not discussing patient information with others

Health Information Systems Clerk Job Qualifications:

Minimum high school graduate or equivalent
Strong customer service skills
Candidates with training or experience in health records or as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) preferred
Familiarity with medical terminology
Strong computer literacy/proficiency in Microsoft Office preferred
Strong oral and written communication skills
Organized and detail-oriented
Team player who can also work with minimum/no supervision
