The Fabrication/Trainer is the starting point of the production process. Involved in the set-up and calibration of manufacturing equipment. This position is also responsible for teaching and training junior employees on proper operation of the equipment.
Fabrication/Trainer Essential Functions:
- Mentor Fabrication Operators Level 1 and 2
- Set-up and calibration of manufacturing equipment
- Proficiently operate all fabrication equipment
- Fabricate components using a variety of production equipment
- Perform quality checks and in-process monitoring
- Operate HMI on machine controller
- Perform preventative maintenance tasks
- Maintain accurate records of material consumption and WIP
- Able to program Turrets and Laser through associated software as well as setup tooling
- Load racks with the steel and parts associated with each job.
- Adherence to all safety requirements required within this work area.
Fabrication/Trainer Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Read and Interpret technical drawings
- Ability to teach and train junior employees
- Certified to operate PIV
- Read tape measure to 1/32”
- Able to read Micrometer and Calipers
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Proficient level of skill operating business software
- Able to work with a team and independently.
- Have basic mathematical knowledge.
- Ability to communicate verbally with other employees.
Fabrication/Trainer Minimum Required Experience or Education:
- High School diploma or equivalent vocational school
- Documented record of having mastered job requirements of Fabricator, plus 3 additional years of manufacturing experience
- Minimum 4-6 years of related work experience in a manufacturing environment
- Fundamental knowledge of metal cutting and machining practices
Fabrication/Trainer Work Schedule is Monday-Friday 6am-3pm
Fabrication/Trainer starting wage is $19 per hour
