The Recruitment & Retention/Data Specialist will maintain data as required by the Illinois Department of Human Services (IDHS) for the statewide Child Care Resource & Referral system. This is a temp-to-hire position with a well-established community service organization. Early childhood experience required. FurstStaffing is looking for a detail-oriented Recruitment & Retention/Data Specialist who is comfortable working with people of all backgrounds and managing data and reporting. The Recruitment & Retention/Data Specialist will maintain data as required by the Illinois Department of Human Services (IDHS) for the statewide Child Care Resource & Referral system. This is a temp-to-hire position with a well-established community service organization. Early childhood experience required. Pay: $19.50 with increase when hired in Recruitment & Retention/Data Specialist Job Responsibilities:
- Maintain a written plan outlining the coordination and development of new childcare resources
- Develop and implement strategies and tools used by childcare providers including informational workshops or orientations, consultations, technical assistance, printed materials, promotional tools for outreach and promotion, and start up packets and materials
- Develop and implement strategies and tools designed to provide support in the retention and improvement of quality of childcare, including providing technical assistance, consultation, and training, promoting and assisting in connecting childcare providers with available resources, developing and/or increasing community support of childcare
- Provide technical assistance to childcare associations, parents, and providers
- Maintain and update provider database
- Enter newly licensed and approved License Exempt providers into database
- Report monthly activities on Program Report and in the Data Tracking Program
- Assist with data entry for trainings, including registration, sign in sheets, etc.
- Assist in coordinating Director’s Dialog activities
- Assist with parent follow-ups each month as needed
- Participate in community activities, including community events, media campaigns, promotional materials and community presentations
- One (1) year experience in tools used for data analysis (e.g., Excel) and implementing new software
- Associate’s degree from an accredited college or university in a related field (Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Child Psychology/Behavioral Sciences, Business Administration, Family Consumer Sciences, Social Work, Elementary Education Child Welfare, or Family Services) OR associate’s degree with a minimum of two years’ experience in an early childhood education field.
- Strong customer service skills
- Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skills
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Comfortable with networking and establishing collaborations
- Strong knowledge of community resources
- Ability to type at least 30 words per minute
- Current Illinois driver’s license and valid vehicle insurance required
- Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality
