The Controller will need to be hands-on in their approach to the financial management of the company. Key responsibilities for this role will include providing leadership to the finance function, ensuring proper accounting practices, governance and control processes are in place.

Partnering with the CFO and Senior Leadership team and other key stakeholders across the business to challenge and drive business performance.
Taking a lead role in developing, implementing, analyzing, maintaining and presenting strategic business and financial plans.
Driving innovation in the finance function to improve analysis and the provision of business information.
Playing a lead role in upgrading ERP system (Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central).

Responsibilities

Oversee and manage all financial accounts, ledgers, and tools to ensure compliance with appropriate Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), and regulatory requirements. Maintain internal control safeguards and coordinate all audit activities.
Manage all accounting operations including Billing, A/R, A/P, GL, Cost Accounting, Inventory Accounting and Revenue Reconciliation.
Lead the annual planning process.
Cash flow and forecasting: development of a reliable cash flow projection process and reporting mechanism that includes a minimum cash threshold to meet operating needs.
Oversee budgeting/forecasting and the implementation of budgets to monitor progress and present financial metrics, both internally and externally. Prepare and disseminate monthly reports showing results, forecasts and status against annual operating plan.
Manage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.
Develop, mentor and coach small finance team to set and achieve strategic objectives.
Assist CFO in banking and insurance management.

Profile

Bachelor’s degree required and CPA/MBA or equivalent desired.
Demonstrated leadership ability, confidence and executive presence combined with the ability to motivate staff.
Comfortable working in a small environment.
Success developing and driving strategies that have taken an organization to the next stage of financial growth.
Creative problem solver, decision support, performance management and contribution to a company-wide strategy.
Excellent interpersonal skills with positive customer-orientation combined with the ability to work in a team- oriented environment.
Action-oriented, curious and adaptable.
Highly motivated, self-directed and operates with minimal supervision while being highly collaborative.
Proven written and verbal communication skills; a persuasive and passionate communicator with strong multidisciplinary project skills.
Experience of working within the Production, Manufacturing and/or Services sectors is essential.
IT skills especially in at least one ERP system (Microsoft Dynamics Business Central is a plus) and excellent skills in MS Office products.
