Calibration Lab Tech-Quality
Furst-to-Hire opportunity for someone with quality control or calibration experience to join a growing local company as a Calibration Lab Tech. Your knowledge and skill in calibration will make you a successful candidate for this position. Company will train on their protocol, but experience is required. Lots of longevity at this company; a nice family atmosphere with amazing co-workers.
Hours: Monday – Friday, 7:30am to 4pm
Pay: $20-25/hour, depending on experience
Calibration Lab Tech Responsibilities:
- Calibrate tools that come into the facility from clients
- Ability to use a caliper, thread plug and other equipment
- Work on calibrating everything from hand-held tools to industrial robots
Calibration Lab Tech Requirements:
- HS Diploma (or strong equivalent work experience)
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Valid DL to support eventual local travel to client sites
- Strong math skills - including working with decimals
- Strong computer abilities-must be able to do some data entry, and have some basic computer operation skills
- Prior knowledge related to basic machines, machine tooling, micrometers, calipers, or other inspection desired
- Ability to learn and retain new information and follow directions
- Ability to show interest and engagement
- Strong attention to detail
- Communication abilities to interact with internal staff and customers
- Any electronics experience is a strong plus but is not required
- Dependable - attendance is important
- Ability to work with very fine measurements
