CNC Setup – Mills – 2nd Shift
We have a DIRECT HIRE opportunity for a skilled CNC Operator on 2nd shift. The CNC Operator is responsible for operating and maintaining a range of CNC equipment. The CNC Operator role requires proficiency in operating multiple machines and the ability to troubleshoot mechanical issues. The CNC Operator will assist with training new hires and supporting various production cells as needed.
Hours: 3pm to 11:30pm M-F with occasional OT evenings or weekends - initial training on day shift, 6:30am to 3pm
Pay: $52k to $72,800, DOE

CNC Setup Operator Responsibilities:
- Perform machine setup and calibration for various CNC machines, following setup sheets
- Operate multiple CNC machines to produce parts to specification
- Troubleshoot and optimize machine performance
- Inspect products during production using precision tools such as micrometers and calipers
- Document production activities, including machine performance, quality, and material usage in ERP systems
- Train new hires and provide support to team members in the CNC process
- Collaborate with maintenance teams to resolve mechanical issues and conduct routine machine maintenance
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized workspace
- Perform quality assurance checks and assist in troubleshooting issues
- Flex across departments to support business needs as required
CNC Setup Operator Requirements:
- High School Diploma/GED equivalent or significant relevant work experience
- 2-5 years of experience operating CNC machinery operating both single-axis and multi-axis machinery, as well as single-turret and multi-turret systems
- Capable of using measuring instruments, such as micrometer, calipers, gages, etc.
- Capable of using all required hand tools, such as drills, screwdrivers, impacts, etc.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints & part schematics
- Ability to read/write, perform basic arithmetic, and follow verbal and written instructions
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
