CNC Lathe Machinists – Setup, Operate and Edit – 3rd shift We have an immediate DIRECT HIRE opportunity for TWO skilled CNC Lathe Machinists on the 3rd shift. The ideal candidates will be capable of setting up and running production for all machines and related tools in the lathe department and capable of doing edits. The CNC Lathe Machinists will also assist the supervisor in scheduling and monitoring operators’ work. There is heavy paperwork in these roles – training provided. Hours: Train on 1st shift for 1-3 months (7am to 3:30pm + OT) before moving to 3rd (10pm to 6:15am) + OT on SaturdaysPay: $20 to $30/hour DOEBenefits: Health insurance, 90% of premium paid by company; dental and vision, 100% of premium paid by company; S/T Disability; Life Insurance; 401k with match; Paid vacation and PTO; educational opportunities CNC Lathe Machinists Responsibilities:
Assist with complex part programming for multi-spindle, multi-tool turning centers and live tooling
Control tooling; assist in determining tooling and fixturing needs
Mentor other operators
Coordinate completed orders for shipment or deliveries
Accurately complete required paperwork
Coordinate chip collection as needed
Monitor equipment and machines for safety and mechanical issues; machine maintenance
CNC Lathe Machinists Requirements:
Comprehensive understanding of machinery capabilities and limitations
Knowledge of all departmental machine capabilities
Strong mechanical aptitude
Excellent communication skills
Basic math and geometry skills
Material handling skills
Materials knowledge
Minimum 3 years turning experience
Technical or machining courses desirable
