Senior Accountant

Job Description

The Senior Accountant reports directly to the Chief Financial Officer and will handle the following responsibilities:
  • Completes the month-end close process by recording journal entries, performing G/L account reconciliations, calculating intercompany profit eliminations and consolidating multiple entity results.
  • Develops and explains product-line profitability and costing analyses.
  • Collaborates across the business, driving accountability for budget and KPIs.
  • Assists with year-end audit and tax preparation.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Education & Experience Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance required. 
  • Must have 2+ years of accounting experience.
Qualifications
  • Work onsite in DeKalb, IL and be a part of the team.
  • Solid Excel skills (e.g. pivot tables, SUMIF, filter/sort, data dumps).
  • ERP implementation experience preferred.
  • Strong cost accounting background.
  • Roll-up-your-sleeves, entrepreneurial mindset
  • Experience managing multiple facilities
  • Experience with consolidations and eliminations
