A local church is seeking a warm, organized, and detail-oriented part time Administrative Assistant to serve as the primary point of contact during office hours. This person will play a key role in supporting the church’s ministry through hospitality, communication, and administrative support. The ideal candidate is a welcoming presence at the front desk and is highly proficient in managing office operations and supporting church staff.
Hours: Monday-Thursday 9am-3pm and Friday 9am-12pm
Pay: $18-$20
Key Responsibilities:
Serve as the first point of contact for all visitors and callers, creating a positive and welcoming environment.
Answer phones, greet visitors, and handle front office interactions.
Assist staff in maintaining and updating the Master Church Calendar.
Manage incoming and outgoing mail.
Prepare and print weekly worship bulletins, special service bulletins, postcards, and other communication materials.
Provide copies and materials for weekly meetings and attend meetings as needed.
Order and manage inventory for office, cleaning, kitchen, and maintenance supplies.
Compile and produce Westminster’s Annual Report.
Prepare certificates for baptisms, new members, and columbarium interments.
Provide support to Commissions, Deacons, and other church committees.
Qualifications:
Associate’s degree in business or a related field or at least 5 years of relevant experience.
Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to multitask effectively.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Google Docs.
Familiarity with MailChimp or similar email marketing platforms.
Experience with social media management and website updates is a plus.
