Administrative Assistant Temp-to-hire opportunity for an Administrative Assistant to join a local roofing company in the Rockford area. This is a busy position requiring the ability to multi-task. Recent office experience is required. Hours: 8am to 4:30pm, Mon-FriPay: $16-$20/hour depending on experience Administrative Assistant Responsibilities:
Monitor and respond to company email and pending bids
Answer incoming calls
Type proposals
Obtain building permits and certificates of insurance
Organize and access plans and specs
Track employees’ certifications and schedule classes for recertification
Enter bids into system
Keep business calendar updated with bids, pre-bids and appointments
Arrange submittals and type transmittals
Track bids and payment bonds when necessary
Update files
Print photos from job sites for access by team
Track and monitor roof warranties
Order office supplies
Track safety certifications and keep them current
Administrative Assistant Requirements:
Excellent attendance is crucial
Ability to problem solve and troubleshoot
Ability to work in a stressful environment
Ability to type lengthy quotes accurately
Show initiative to learn to read specifications and understand plans
