Administrative Assistant/Deputy Clerk Local municipality has an immediate need for an Administrative Assistant/Deputy Clerk to perform a variety of administrative and clerical duties and assist the public and village staff.   The Administrative Assistant/Deputy Clerk position will last approximately 8-10 weeks. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational and communication skills.    Hours: Mon-Fri, 8am to 4:30pmPay: $19.00-$25.00/hour, DOE Administrative Assistant/Deputy Clerk Responsibilities:
  • Answer phones and provide information or route call to appropriate party
  • Prepare letters, mailings, and filings
  • Enter bills for current billing cycle, process accounts payable checks
  • Prepare and issue liquor licenses and renewals
  • Issue various permits, and maintain permit records
  • Assist with grant administration and compliance
  • Attend admin hearings and maintain hearing recordings, results, and track fines
  • Transcribe meeting minutes
  • Prepare deposits and reports for accounts receivable
  • Coordinate special events
 Administrative Assistant/Deputy Clerk Requirements:
  • High school diploma or GED plus two years of technical training, and/or Associate’s Degree with bookkeeping or accounting course work, plus two years’ experience in an office environment
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize workload
  • Work independently with minimal supervision
  • Perform intermediate math and accounting functions
  • Maintain confidentiality
  • Possess excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Knowledge of MS 365, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint
