GENERAL LABORER – 1st shift, Alternate Work Schedule

$18.00 per hour – with opportunity for hire
Schedule: 5:30am- 6:00pm 12 hour shifts, rotating bi-weekly schedule
Week 1 – 4 days, 48 hours:
Off Sunday, Work Monday & Tuesday, Off Wednesday & Thursday, Work Friday & Saturday
Week 2 – 3 days, 36 hours:
Work Sunday, Off Monday & Tuesday, Work Wednesday & Thursday, Off Friday and Saturday
Some of the job responsibilities for the General Laborer include:
- Production line work – lifting, stacking, off-loading, dumping totes
- Visual and physical inspection of product and packaging
- Weighing of raw material
- Feeding gum into various machines
- Transporting product and material with electric hand trucks
- Data entry skills required
- General housekeeping and sanitizing of work area
- Courteous, effective communication
Physical requirements for the Packer / General Laborer include:
- Stand throughout shift excluding break periods
- Constant lifting up to 42 pounds
- Reach, bend, twist, push, pull, walk up and down stairs
- Visual ability to inspect product and packaging
- Legible handwriting

During your FurstStaffing assignment, PVM will monitor reliability, safety/quality and performance. If consistently meeting expectations, you may be considered for a Generalist position with a base rate of $21/hr. Generalists perform a variety of tasks including machine operating and material handling.
Perfetti Van Melle considers a variety of factors when determining base compensation, including experience, qualifications, and geographic location. These considerations mean actual compensation will vary. This position may also be eligible for a discretionary annual bonus, merit-based compensation review (eligibility may vary based on role), paid time off, and a benefits package.
