Machine Maintenance Mechanic
Our client is seeking an experience Machine Maintenance Mechanic to work in their plant for an indefinite period of time. In this position you will be responsible for setups, repairs and maintenance of the packaging and support equipment.
Hours: 2:30pm to 11pm with potential for OT
Pay: $25/hour
Machine Maintenance Mechanic Responsibilities:
- Maintain a safe, clean and organized work environment
- Follow lockout and tagout work practices
- Keep all equipment organized and in good condition
- Make thorough and accurate entries in appropriate logs and record systems
- Ability to operate all machines and equipment as required
- Perform complete changeovers, set-ups and tear downs without assistance
- Perform major equipment adjustments
- Perform preventive maintenance work orders without assistance and make practical suggestions for improving the program
Machine Maintenance Mechanic Requirements:
- Must be able to accurately diagnose most basic problems, recommend solutions and implement corrective actions
- Possess strong written and oral communication skills
- Know all components of the machines and equipment by their technical terms
- Work well with others and share job knowledge
- Possess knowledge of automated flexible packaging systems
- High school diploma or GED and 1-2 years’ experience as Mechanic 1 or equivalent
- 1-2 years' experience demonstrating abilities with machine and equipment adjustments, problem solving and minor repair
- Fork truck certification preferred
