We are seeking Laser Operators and Bender/Press Brake Operators on 3rd Shift Compensation: Starting at $18.00/hr. & up depending on experience, with an additional 15% night shift premium Location: Machesney Park, IL Schedule: 3rd Shift / Nights. 6pm to 2:30am or 4:30am depending on volume. Typically, will work four 10-hour nights Sunday – Wednesday and then an 8-hour shift on Thursday night. Voluntary overtime is offered on other days. Leave each day feeling proud of what was accomplished! Position 1: Laser Operator Key Responsibilities:
Operate CNC machines efficiently
Set up and manage laser machines, including tooling changes and initial inspections
Interpret blueprints and shop drawings accurately
Use cranes to position steel sheets and unload parts from the laser bed
Ensure safety by following established procedures and regulations
Perform troubleshooting, preventative maintenance, and maintain a clean work environment
Qualifications:
Experience as a CNC Machine Operator
Understanding of metal fabrication
Proficiency in reading blueprints and drawings
Forklift operation experience
Ability to lift and carry up to 50lbs and stand for up to 10 hours
Must pass pre-employment drug screening and background check
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
Position 2: Bender/Press Brake Operator Key Responsibilities:
Set up and operate bending machines
Change tooling, upload jobs into machine interface, and conduct initial inspections
Interpret computerized blueprints and drawings
Perform precision forming, bending, and folding on various metals including galvanized, Steel, Aluminum, and Stainless
Use measuring equipment such as micrometers, calipers, protractors, and tape measures
Ensure safety by following established procedures and regulations
Perform troubleshooting, preventative maintenance, and maintain a clean work environment
Qualifications:
At least 1 year of experience as a Bender/Press Brake Operator
Proficiency in reading blueprints and drawings
Forklift and overhead crane operation experience is a plus
Ability to lift and carry up to 50lbs and stand for up to 10 hours
Must pass pre-employment drug screening and background check
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
